About the play

«The Rose Daddy» — a tragicomedy based on the play by Tennessee Williams, which the author himself called «a dramatic love message to the world». This is a story about passion, jealousy, loss and new hope, full of temperament and emotional frankness.

After the death of her husband, Serafina lives only with memories of a great love. She isolates herself from the world, and rumors of the deceased's betrayal further destroy her inner peace. At the same time, her daughter Rosa's first love becomes a victim of maternal fears and pain. Everything changes when the eccentric young man Alvaro appears in Serafina's life.

The production is the professional debut of the students of the acting department of Dmitry Bogomazov's workshop. The performance combines live music, youthful energy and the sensual atmosphere of 20th-century American classics.
