As a result of a plane crash, a group of children find themselves on a deserted island that resembles a paradise: the ocean, palm trees, caves, and complete freedom from adults. But very quickly, the struggle for power destroys any rules of coexistence. Children gradually lose their humanity, and fear and cruelty become the main laws of the new world.
«Lord of the Flies» in the production of the Wild Theater — Ivan Sharan's debut directorial work based on the novel by William Golding. In the play, the plot of the novel is intertwined with the motifs of «The Legend of the Nibelungs» and the ideas of totalitarianism, exploring the theme of «the beast within man». The play raises questions about the nature of violence, fear, and the destruction of the civilized world.
