Land of Song

EARTH-SONG is a performance where the central figure is the Ukrainian Song—it holds within itself the deepest wisdom and the highest poetry.

Our lineage stands behind us. They preserve for us the mystery of Being,
the mystery of Birth and Death.

With whose voices do we sing?

“How rarely one hears a living song these days! A living song—one that springs from a living source: from a specific person in a specific time and space. For today, a person loves, breathes, and gives birth just as they did a thousand years ago. And the song preserves and quickens within the human being that very essence which makes them truly HUMAN. And it ‘comes alive again and laughs again’ (Shevchenko).”
